Summer and autumn are the perfect seasons for hiking. Mountain trails can be explored towards the High Tatras, Belianske Tatras, Javorina, Spišská Magura. The Monkova dolina educational trail is open in summer, Spišská Magura, Tatranská Javorina, Bielovodská dolina, Morské oko (within 10 km), Lomnický štít (cable car), Hrebienok, Gerlachovský štít with a guide, Červený Kláštor with the option of rafting or climbing Tri Koruny. The newly built Treetop Walk Bachledka is located in the heart of the majestic forests of Pieniny National Park and Bachledova Valley, just 5 km from Ždiaranka. The trail, over 600 m long, will take you through a diverse forest, where you will become part of forest life and encounter many animals and plants rarely found elsewhere.

In winter, Ždiar offers beautiful skiing in ski resorts and private ski lifts right in the village (25 ski lifts). Ski resorts Ski center Strednica and Ski center Bachledova dolina with a chairlift and varied slopes, 6360m long slopes. Two private ski lifts are only 50m from Penzión Ždiaranka - ski lift Bachleda, Ski center Strachan. Possibility of evening skiing, ski instructor, ski rental, ski service. The surroundings of Ždiar also offer 30 km of groomed cross-country trails - Monkova dolina and Spišská Magura. In the winter months, ski buses run to all resorts in Ždiar, stopping right in front of the pension.
